Tomate Raf.
The Cultive

The blend of the salt with the tomato's natural sweetness brings a delightful explosion of tingling sensations to the taste buds.

We plant in September and start picking at the end of October.

The plants continue to produce tomatoes until the end of May.

At that time the fruit produced is much smaller and does not look as attractive as the ones grown earlier.

Nevertheless, they can still be used in salads as they loose none of their flavour.

The “RAF” tomato plant and its fruits are subject to an on-going, rigorous quality check.

Tomate Raf.
Properties

The plant has adapted and flourished due to the special quality of the soil and the water in the area.

However, we also produce “RAF” tomatoes which are grown using the more conventional methods.

One could easily be fooled by the firm, greenish appearance of the “RAF” tomato; some people believe that it is still not ripe!

It's a medium sized fruit, somewhat bigger than the grape type tomato, and it has folds which originate and surround the stem.

The “RAF” tomato's dark green colour merges into red as it rounds the fruit towards the bottom.
